Hal Stalmaster is an American actor born on September 3, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. He is best known for his role as Johnny Clem in the 1955 film "The Great Locomotive Chase". Hal Stalmaster began his acting career at a young age and starred in a number of films throughout the 1950s and 1960s, including "The Slender Thread" (1965) and "World Without Sun" (1964). He also appeared on several TV shows, such as "The Lone Ranger", "Maverick", and "The Twilight Zone".
After his acting career, Hal Stalmaster worked as a casting director in Hollywood, casting movies such as "The Graduate" (1967) and "The Loved One" (1965). He co-authored a book titled "The Art of Auditioning", which offers guidance to actors on how to prepare for auditions. Hal Stalmaster is also a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War.
